Modern Management for the City of New York (1953)

This two volume set, commissioned by Mayor Vincent Impellitteri, is the work of a special committee which conducted "a comprehensive survey of all City departments and agencies, the Board of Education, and the Board of Transportation, in an effort to achieve the greatest amount of efficiency and economy possible." Although it was authored more than half a century ago, this report provides a wealth of research material to anyone interested in the history of Public Administration, Urban and Regional Planning, or New York City.
